Art Detectives follows the unlikely partnership of DI Mick Palmer, an eccentric detective with a passion for art, and DC Shazia Malik, a headstrong young officer new to London’s Heritage Crime Unit. Mick’s expertise in art stems from his upbringing with his estranged father, a former artist turned notorious forger, giving him a unique ability to see clues hidden in paintings and artifacts. Shazia, who knows little about art, is initially frustrated by her reassignment to the unit but soon realizes the depth and intrigue of this hidden world. As they tackle crimes involving art theft, forgery, and murder, their contrasting styles— Mick’s methodical, detail-oriented approach and Shazia’s brash, direct attitude—complement each other. While Mick navigates the complexities of his past, Shazia learns there’s more to both art and her partner than she imagined. Together, they uncover the dark secrets behind priceless masterpieces and the people who covet them.
